The extraordinary setting of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, a region of great environmental interest located only an hour away from Bologna and Florence, offers great spaces, great silence and wide horizons that are now very rare anywhere, and therefore perfect for a delightful holiday for all those who, even if only for a few days, want to forget the hectic pace of the city, regenerating their spirit in the pursuit of health and well-being.

The nearby areas of Vidiciatico and the thermal baths of Porretta, which can be explored on foot or by mountain bike, are places where the changing of the seasons can be best experienced: in spring, the cheerful blossoming of nature, in summer the warmth of the sun cooled by the mountains, in autumn the colours reminiscent of Van Gogh's art, in winter the white snow of the Corno alle Scale ski resort, with its 36 km of groomed slopes.

But there is more than just nature: history enthusiasts can admire the ancient archaeological remains of Lizzano in Belvedere dating back to 553 A.D., the ancient parish churches of Madonna dell'Acero, Monteacuto and Querciola, the Romanesque churches of Gabba and Grecchia, and the ethnographic museum of the Mountain Culture of Poggiolforato, with more than 3,000 exhibits.

And, finally, relaxation and entertainment, ensured by an extensive calendar of events, festivals, concerts, competitions and... much more.

At the crossroads of these paths of nature, history, art and entertainment, stands the Corno alle Scale Hotel, which, thanks to its central location, is not by chance the closest to the ski slopes, riding stables, tennis courts, five-a-side football and basketball courts, and the beautiful municipal swimming pool.
